Evan Fortin recently accepted the role of Nova Scotia Works Youth Engagement Intern at the Centre for Employment Innovation (CEI).

In this position, Evan will plan, organize, and facilitate biweekly communities of learning with Nova Scotia Works interns from across the province. The lessons learned from these discussions will be used to improve youth engagement and internship positions in the Nova Scotia Works System.

Born and raised in Stratford, Ontario, Evan now lives in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, where he attends St. Francis Xavier University and recently completed his second year of his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.

Evan is looking forward to working with everyone at the CEI and all of the Nova Scotia Works interns this summer.

Engaging with young workers is extremely important in the quest to learn about the challenges and obstacles that face employees entering the workforce. By learning from the experiences of youth, we can move towards a world in which more young people can find and maintain meaningful employment.
