After 19 years of employment in a managerial position, Pat Wright was laid off. Unsure of what to do next, Pat decided to focus on his passion for bowling and become an entrepreneur. The local bowling alley, closed for years, was for sale. Pat purchased it, renovated, and eventually opened Seaside Bowling Lanes and Lounge. Nova Scotia Works lent him the money to buy the building, and connected him with the Self-Employment Benefits Program to help build and monitor his business plan. Pat enjoys running his own business, and the bowling alley is once again a popular spot in the community.
