Do you or someone you know self-identify as a youth (ages 18-34) from a diverse community in Nova Scotia?
Are you passionate about supporting youth employment?
Our youth employment initiative is looking for up to four (4) diverse young people to join our advisory group!
The Collective Impact for Inclusive Youth Employment (CIIYE) initiative focuses on increasing labour force attachment and retention for youth (ages 18-34) from underrepresented communities including Indigenous, African Nova Scotians, racially visible individuals, Nova Scotians on Employment Support and Income Assistance (ESIA), and persons with a disability through a workplace attachment program.
To ensure the initiative is relevant and responsive to youth and employer needs and desires, we convened an advisory group made up of youth from the aforementioned communities in early 2021 and are currently looking to add new members. This group acts as a sounding board for the development and implementation of the program—bringing key insights and perspectives from their work and experiences.
Members of the CIIYE Advisory Group will have the opportunity to connect with like-minded young people, receive honoraria, and be learning partners as they contribute to this impactful work.
This role will commence August 2022 until December 2023 and consists of two meetings a year, with flexibility for ad hoc convenings (all virtual).
To express interest in joining the CIIYE Advisory Group, please complete our survey by Thursday, July 28th, 2022.
